DJ Khaled Teams Up With Will Smith For Aladdin Soundtrack

Major Key Alert!!!

By now, you should know that Will Smith is playing the Genie in the live-action remake of Aladdin which hits theaters May 24th. Leading up to it, there's been some pretty sick remakes of the movie's iconic soundtrack like Zayn and Zhavia Ward teaming up for a rendition of A Whole New World and it is MAGICAL!!

Disney announced on Thursday during a press conference that one of the collabs on the soundtrack is that DJ Khaled is joining forces with Will Smith to create a rendition of Friend Like Me. The iconic song is known to be performed by the Genie on the legendary soundtrack from the 1992 film. Disney revealed that Smith and the No Brainer singer will be a "re-invented" single and that Khaled produced the song himself!

Although the Friend Like Me version will be performed by Will Smith on his own during the film itself, it's been revealed that the collab is going to be played during the credits at the end of the movie and IDK whether to be hyped about this "remix" or just straight up confused.

Either way, you better believe I'll be first in line for opening night of the live-action remake and NO kids are getting in the way of my time to shine!!! I've been waiting for Princess Jasmine to come to life for the longest time and I will be at my PEAK for the 2 hours and 8 minutes of the movie. I AM READY.

In the meantime, here's a clip of Will Smith giving a little preview of Friend Like Me on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this past Tuesday!!
