Doja Cat Explains Why She Cried After Her 2021 Grammys Performance

Just because she's in Atlanta right now, doesn't mean one of our favorite artists, Doja Cat can't Zoom in to chat with Maxwell! Monday night on Z100 New York, Maxwell got Doja Cat on the air to talk all about her new song Kiss Me More featuring SZA as well as the moment right after her 2021 Grammy Awards performance.

"I'm so proud of 'Kiss Me More,' Doja Cat tells Maxwell, "The video is exactly what I wanted…. Every color is carefully chosen…. I’m so proud of it." Another moment she's proud of? Her 2021 Grammy Awards performance. 2020 was such a year for Doja Cat as her song Say So took over the radio as well as Tiktok, it was only fitting that she perform that song on stage in front of millions watching at home.
"That was the first show that I cried at," Doja Cat shares on Z100 New York, "I came offstage and I was sobbing and then everyone else was sobbing.... We were like a bunch of 13 year old girls. It was insane. It was a really crazy feeling and I’m so proud of that show."

And proud she should be! We're so proud of you too Doja Cat! Listen to a snippet of her interview with Maxwell below and keep your eye out for the full interview coming to the Z100 New York YouTube page this week!
