Dan + Shay Explain How Collaboration With Just Bieber Changed Their Career

Fresh off the release of their latest single 'I Should Probably Go To Bed' and their Christmas song 'Take Me Home For Christmas,' Dan and Shay join Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to talk all about writing wedding songs, Justin Bieber and their upcoming performance at the CMA's this Wednesday.

"Wedding are an interesting thing, when they pick your song it’s a huge honor," Dan and Shay tell Elvis Duran over Zoom, "'10,000 Hours' and 'Speechless'...The fact that they felt that strongly about that song is huge." But the duo jokes they 'paid Bieber to perform at his wedding.'

Speaking of Justin Bieber the two discuss their upcoming performance with him at the 2020 CMA's. "We’re excited about that man. This song [10,000 Hours] changed the trajectory of our career." Dan and Shay then explain that there was more of a plan for 2020 on them performing with Bieber. "Our plan was to have him out at some of our shows and us at some of his. This is going to be a cool full circle moment for us."

The 2020 CMA's are scheduled for Wednesday (Nov. 11) and will air live on ABC beginning at 8PM CT. The show will take place at Nashville's Music City Center, not at its Bridgestone Arena as usual, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fans will not be allowed to attend, but the show's nominees, performers and presenters have all been asked to come in person.
