Machine Gun Kelly On Why He Wanted To Work With James Arthur

Machine Gun Kelly sat down with Shelley Rome to celebrate the release of his new album 'Bloom,' which is out now. The album features so many awesome collaborations, but MGK's work with James Arthur is truly a standout. While Shelly told Kells that this was a collab she never saw coming, MGK says the two artists have a lot more in common than people might think.

"I feel like me and him aren't that different," the Young Gunner explained. "We're kind of like young, troubled souls. He's got a real scratchy, gritty voice. It seems like he's got that same personality going, too, that matches his voice. He was just denied so many times, too. His story is great. 'Go For Broke's message is put it all on the table and receive the glorious reward of risking it all."

MGK also told Shelley about the time he had to play it cool while he was stuck in an elevator with Diddy. Even though he was freaking out inside due to his fear of elevators, he kept it chill on the outside.

Make sure you check out 'Bloom' and all the awesome collaborations with stars like James Arthur, Hailee Steinfeld, and more!
