All Time Low Explains The Concept Behind Last Young Renegade

posted by Emily Lee -

All Time Low stopped by the Z100 studios to hang out with Shelley Rome and chat about their new album. The band has been together since 2003 and in their 14 years have now released 7 albums. The latest, Last Young Renegade, is a bit different from anything they've ever done before. "We've tried some new things. It's very textural, there's a story," Alex Gaskarth explained. "We've never really done a concept album before and this is the closest thing to a concept record that we've ever done."

So, what exactly is the concept behind Last Young Renegade? Alex describes the theme running through the new album as critical self reflection. "It's looking back on who we were and who we used to be," the lead vocalist said. "the ups and downs of this life."

Thanks to all who made it out to our signing at @roughtradenyc today! We'll be at @sg_bmore in Baltimore tomorrow! Signing is sold out but you can still get free admission to the performance by buying Last Young Renegade at The Sound Garden.

All Time Low is currently on tour promoting their latest record. Alex, Jack, and Zack opened up with Shelley about their love for performing, as well. Thanks to their incredible fan base, even small, acoustic All Time Low concerts end up in mosh pits. One performance their really looking forward to is the one in central park coming up this summer. If you live in the NYC area, that's definitely one you should try to check out.

Thanks for stopping by, All Time Low. We can't wait to see you on tour!
