Another Shelley and the City this time I take on the only place to really get a sense of fall in this city. At the courtyard of Arlo SoHo, there is the perfect hidden gem of an apple orchard. In the courtyard they have "pick-your-own" apples. Every week they have apples and pumpkins brought in by Farm to People, who work with regional farms to bring in weekly deliveries of the produce. There are honeycrisps, gala, ginger gold and I ate the most delicious mcintosh. I even got to try a classic apple drink which they call the "Orchard Thief." On Thursday's from 4-7pm you can get discounts on that, plus beer and wine for their "Happle Hour."
If your in the middle of our concrete jungle and need a day to just feel like it's fall, you should definitely check out this spot. Grab your flannel and jeans and head to this pumpkin patch in the middle of downtown. I had one of the best days hanging outside on the picnic tables here. The vibe is so fall and it just makes me so happy!
