Steve Buscemi says he had 9/11 PTSD After Volunteering at Ground Zero

Steve Buscemi is a true hero .

He is giving insight into what life was like following volunteering at Ground Zero after 9/11.

He says he used to be a firefighter and went down there to help his old crew. He says he put in 12-hour shifts, helping them searching through the rubble.

"I was only there for like five days," he said. "But when I stopped going and tried to just live my life again, it was really, really hard. I was depressed. I was anxious. I couldn’t make a simple decision. All those things."

He added, "It's still with me. There are times when I talk about 9/11, and I’m right back there. I start to get choked up, and I realize, 'Ah, this is still a big part of me.'"
