Why It Matters When Stars Lie About The Plastic Surgery They've Done!

It’s no secret that a lot of Hollywood beauty isn’t exactly all-natural. Countless celebs have been very open about the cosmetic procedures they’ve had done such as Kaley CuocoCourteney Cox, and Dolly Parton, who said “if something is bagging, sagging, or dragging, I’ll tuck it, suck it, or pluck it,” but not every celebrity is that open about their procedures…and that’s a problem. Recently Bella Hadid revealed she had a nose job at just 14 years old.

There’s nothing wrong with getting plastic surgery, but there’s a difference between not disclosing it and flat-out lying about it. Daniel Barrett, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, says that many celebs look good naturally, but the ones that have had work done have a responsibility.

“I think they’re being unethical because they’re in the spotlight,” Barrett says. “They’re benefitting from being a celebrity and have a moral obligation to be transparent about anything they’ve had done that helps them achieve a certain look.”

Not telling fans can lead the young and impressionable to believe they can get the same look as their favorite stars without having work done which is very dangerous. Naomi Torres-Mackie, head of research at the Mental Health Coalition, calls unrealistic beauty standards “a rigged race that’s unwinnable.”

AMEN!!!!!!! Especially when you're selling products and promoting products that will "help" people look like them!
