Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn had their second child back in May and the unique name has been revealed.
Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran is the name of the two-month-old, she joins her older sister, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
The couple had visited the continent of Antarctica before the birth of their first born and the name “Lyra” is based on the character Lyra Belacqua, the heroine of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials book series, of which Sheeran is a huge fan.
As for baby Jupiter, obviously, she is named after a planet that when used as a name means “brave and bold.”
I love learning the meaning behind these 'unique' names. Makes a lot more sense with context.
