Millennial TikToker, Anaïs took to social media explaining why you shouldn't wait until retirement age to take a "micro-retirement."
Essentially, a "micro-retirement" is taking a sabbatical, but when someone commented this, Anaïs said, quote, "That's what I was calling it, but sabbatical feels like a one time thing whereas I plan to do this again, multiple times. I've heard it called adult gap year, sabbatical and now micro retirement."
To take this "micro-retirement" it takes some planning. Anaïs says she paid off her 70k student debt and saved a good chunk of money before taking the time off.
Anaïs said, “I knew I needed to take a step back and re-envision my next 10 years. This time off allows me to really think about how I want to spend my life … and it’s really short.”
