5 Seconds of Summer may have gotten punked on the final day of their 'World War Joy' tour by The Chainsmokers, but they'll have the last laugh.
"We didn't come up with end-of-tour pranks," drummer Ashton Irwin explained from the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge backstage at Z100's JingleBall. "They had a whole team working on end-of-tour pranks."
But the guys in 5SOS told Mo' Bounce that they have the perfect payback in mind.
"The end of tour prank is not getting them on that day and getting them in the future," guitarist Michael Clifford added.
In 2020, the band members say they'll deliver a bunch of new music, including a new album and a tour.
For now, 5SOS is looking forward to the holidays.
"Some of us are going back to Australia, some of us are staying in the states," lead singer Luke Hemmings said, noting that each band member has begun incorporating American traditions into their Christmas celebrations.
