Halsey Wonders If Her Gift To Taylor Swift Was "Inconvenient"

Halsey acknowledged backstage at Z100's Jingle Ball that her birthday gift to Taylor Swift might have been interpreted as a prank.

"I filled her dressing room with balloons," Halsey revealed in a chat with Elvis Duran at the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge. "She's either going to love this or I made her day so inconvenient. ...I also told her, 'The greatest gift I can give you is that you're opening the show and I'm closing so that you can go out and celebrate your birthday."

She noted that as "the biggest artist in the world," Taylor doesn't need to open for anybody. But the Woman of the Decade had family in town for her 30th birthday, and probably dinner plans, too.

Halsey didn't say whether she'll apologize if Taylor didn't take kindly to the gesture. When asked by Elvis what she wanted to "leave behind in 2019," Halsey explained that she wants to stop apologizing. Saying sorry too much is a bad habit of hers.

"I want to stop apologizing for stuff," Halsey added. "I apologize for everything all the time...especially here in New York; someone will walk by and elbow me and I say, 'Oh, I'm sorry!'"

Halsey's third album, Manic, is due out January 17. Get all of her tour dates here.
