Jonas Brothers Are Going Their Separate Ways For The Holidays

If you asked fans of the Jonas Brothers a year ago if they thought Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas would ever get the band back together, the answer would have been a definitive "no." But the JoBros had a big surprise up their sleeve and dropped their comeback single 'Sucker' back in March. After 10 long years, the second era of the Jonas Brothers was finally here.

The only people more surprised about the Jonas' comeback than their die-hard fans was the Jonas Brothers themselves. While chatting with Elvis Duran in the Mercedes-Benz interview lounge at iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, Nick, Joe and Kevin opened up about their whirlwind year, which includes a critically acclaimed album, sold out tour and a Grammy nomination. As Elvis describes it, the Jonas Brothers were the "headliners of the year."

"We couldn't anticipate how big the comeback would be," Nick said of the past year. "We just crossed a million tickets sold [for the Happiness Begins Tour.] It's blowing our minds. The fans showed up in a big way. "

"The fans patiently waited for us," Joe chimed in, crediting them with their success. "There's also a lot of new faces. We're so thankful this year."

Kevin, Nick and Joe capped off their mega-successful year by releasing a Christmas song titled 'Like It's Christmas.' As for why they decided to drop a holiday tune, Nick said "Christmas songs last forever. Michael Buble can play his Christmas songs any time of the year."

They don't have any plans to slow down, but they are looking forward to some downtime over the next couple weeks. Nick, Joe and Kevin may have gotten the band back together in 2019, but they'll be splitting up again for the holidays. Don't worry, this separation won't last 10 years. Kevin will be spending Christmas in New Jersey with his family, Joe is jetting off to the U.K. to be with Sophie Turner and Nick will spend the holidays in California with Priyanka Chopra.

As soon as Christmas is over, the Jonas Brothers will be back to work. Next on their list? Heading to the Grammy Awards. They've been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for 'Sucker.'
