Z100's Jingle Ball

Z100's Jingle Ball returns Friday, Dec. 13th at Madison Square Garden!

Twenty One Pilots Could Never Be A Studio-Only Band

Twenty One Pilots have always been known for putting on spectacular live shows.

Speaking with Elvis Duran from the Mercedes Benz Interview Lounge at our iHeartRadio Z100 Jingle Ball, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun say their thoughts always drift to the stage, even when they're writing songs.

"Whenever we write songs, we think about it through that lens, 'Like, what is this going to feel like and look like live?'" Tyler says. "That's where we cut our teeth, was in small clubs playing shows, trying to get the bartender's attention."

Josh added that they even think about the track sequence on their albums as a live setlist.

"For this tour it's been 'Overcompensate' and I think it really gets the people going," he said.
