Demi Lovato In No Shape To Discuss Rehab

Demi Lovato is in recovery from being hospitalized following a dangerous drug overdose last week, and she is still so sick, that she is in no shape to talk about going to rehab just yet.

TMZ reports that sources with firsthand knowledge of Demi's condition say that "the people in contact with her have not even broached the subject of rehab," because she is still trying to recover from the overdose. Demi is reportedly suffering from extreme nausea and a high fever, in addition to other symptoms in the aftermath.

Demi's doctors are also not predicting when the pop star might be released from the hospital, but that also means there is still time to talk about going to rehab. Sources tell TMZ that they are unsure of how Lovato will get the message that rehab is something she really needs. They say, "We just don't know where her head is at."

Surely Demi's focused on her recovery following her overdose, but once she does leave the hospital, she can't be forced to go to rehab, as it has to be her decision to go. However, Demi has been to rehab before, although it was for an eating disorder in 2010. So, she could be receptive to going this time.

Demi was found unconscious in her bed her Hollywood Hills home following a night of partying on July 24th. The 25-year-old would not say what drugs she took, but Narcan was used to save her life, which reverses the effects of opioids.

So many of Demi's peers and friends have showed their support for the star on social media, even coming to the hospital to be by her side, like ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. And this week, some of Demi's closest friends have broken their silence on her hospitalization

Dani Vitale, a member of the singer's "Tell Me You Love Me World Tour," said in a message posted to Instagram, "I care about Demi just like all of you do. I have not said anything about this situation now because her recovery has been of the most importance. I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now, and will continue to be because she means to the world to me just as she does to all of you. Like all of you, I have nothing but love in my heart for her. There is no need for any negativity towards the ones who care about Demi at this time. There is too much of it in this world as it is."
