In honor of October's Breast Cancer Awareness month, Elvis Duran announced that he'll be donating $1,000 daily to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In the past, Elvis Duran and the Morning show have raised money for the cause by selling listener designed t-shirts during the namesake month.
Turning the microphone to his producer Samantha Rosalie, who is in charge of the morning show's charity partnerships, she announced that the recipient of Duran's $31,000 donation would be the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
"I know there are many who are very worthy, but we can only choose one breast cancer-focused organization. [This one] is highly rated and does a lot of great things for a lot of great people," Elvis said about the show's thought process when choosing an organization to receive the donation.
Known for their monetary transparency, 25+ years of service to the cancer research community, and funding of 300 researchers across 14 countries, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is one of the most highly rated non-profits with 88.7% of all donations going directly to research and awareness programs.
