Laura and Vanessa Marano stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to chat about their new film, Saving Zoe, out in limited theaters and video on demand right now.

After reading the novel by Alyson Noël, the sisters decided to buy the movie rights to the book because they were disappointed with the lack of roles in Hollywood for them. To tackle the book's plotline revolving around sex trafficking, they partnered with Equality Now to help bring more light to the important issue.

"Without giving too much away, we ended up diving into a very dark world of something we didn't even realize had this name, but it is a form of human trafficking basically, which is called online sexual exploitation," - Vanessa told Elvis Duran about the movie's major theme. "It took us 10 years to make the film [and] 2 years to get it distributed for [the] very reason of it being a dark concept. We kept hearing over and over again, 'Young girls don't want this. They want fluff. They want light. They want romance.'"
