H.E.R. Celebrates Joining The 2019 Global Citizens Festival Lineup (Watch)

Grammy award-winner H.E.R. stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to celebrate being announced as a part of the 2019 Global Citizen Festival lineup. The "Focus" singer told Elvis Duran that she's always wanted to attend the concert and now that she's one of the featured performers she'll finally be able to go!

H.E.R. will be in good company on NYC's Central Park Great Lawn stage alongside Alicia Keys, OneRepublic, H.E.R., Pharrell Williams, Queen & Adam Lambert, Carole King and more.

The 22-year-old artist gave Elvis Duran listener's an insider look into how she writes music, playing the voice-notes from her single, "21," off of her phone.

"I'm all over the place creatively. It depends, like sometimes it will come at the weirdest times... like a melody. And then I'll just have to pull out my phone and record that melody. Or, I like to write down my thoughts and feelings. Sometimes it will come out of a poem and then I form it into a song. Or I hear a song and it inspires something. It really just depends," H.E.R. told Elvis Duran and the Morning Show about her not-so-scientific writing process. "And then I'll pick up a guitar or play piano and some chords just come and I'm like, 'I really like this.'"

Earlier this summer, H.E.R. released two new singles, "Racks" and "21," but no solid album plans have been announced. She's also featured on Ed Sheeran's complication album, No. 6 Collaborations Project, on the track "I Don't Want Your Money."
