Avenue Beat Describe Being Theatre Kids, The Rise of "F2020" + More

The music trio, Avenue Beat is from Quincy, Illinois. The group is made up of Sami Bearden, Savana Santos and Sam Backoff. Backoff and Santos were friends growing up and met Bearden at a theater camp in high school.

What is theater camp?! "It's a lot of really extra kids," Avenue Beat tells Shelley Rome over Zoom, "All the people who don't fit in all flock together and are brutally in competition for parts but also support each other."

Now the trio resides in Nashville where they are creating music including their latest hit 'F2020.' The three girls were touring with Rascal Flatts, before quarantine kicked in. There were two big things that happened before creating their new hit song. "Our country song that flopped," and then Sami's cat died randomly. These two things led them to make 'F2020,' the song that perfectly depicts how everyone is feeling about this year.
